Éditions du Cabinet Noir began with a wish to bring stories to life: stories that spark curiosity, move us and invite reflection.
Historical fiction holds a special place in our publishing vision. Le Registre des Ombres embodies that spirit through intrigue, the lives of its characters and an exploration of the eighteenth century.
Our seven fiction genres open up new horizons for the house, united by a commitment to carefully crafted writing, compelling characters and the pleasure of reading.

Helping a novel take shape
We are preparing a bespoke service, from the initial idea through writing to preparing a book. Its framework will be presented before the service opens: feasibility, deliverables, budget and contract. Any publication or sale will require a separate decision and agreement; neither will ever be promised in advance.
This future service will turn ideas into fiction within a historical world, with adapted characters and places: novels, rather than memoirs. The service is not yet open.
